Hello again!
So this week just flew by like crazy. I cant believe it is already Monday again! But it was Christmas week so we were super busy all week long. It is getting absolutely freezing here this past week. We have been negative all week, plus since we don’t have any heating in our attic the mornings have been super miserable. I wake up and don’t want to get out because it is so cold. I have like 4 blankets on to keep warm, and I sleep in a sweatshirt too. I don’t know why it seems so cold because I am sure that Wisconsin is colder than this but I can hardly take the cold. Of course the other part is that I am outside all day long so it starts to affect you more. We are going to buy a new heater today and hopefully it works better. Our other one caught on fire a little bit somehow, so it is out. Hopefully that works better.

Hey everyone!
So this week was just medly crazy. It was fun though too. I got to visit a whole bunch of new places, and do some cool things. And of course the French is slowly, very slowly moving forward. Before I continue I need to tell you only to send packages to the APO address. I realize that I forgot to send you my apartment address which is this:
Elder J. Alexander Curtis
5 Rue de Cuesmes
7012 Jemappes
BELGIUM

Hey everyone,
So I have been here one week. When i got here on Tuesday, we went straight to our areas, so i never met the president or got to sleep or anything or see the mission home. Today is my p-day on Monday.
I have almost been here one week. The French is going ok. of course it is way different then in the MTC. I don’t speak much yet because it is still difficult to understand them and difficult to speak back. I am trying my best, but i still end up not speaking a lot. Although the first night that i was here I went to a members home for dinner and they were surprised to find out that I just got there that day. They said that my fresh was «pretty good compared to most other missionaries». But I wasn’t talking much, I think that it is just my pronunciation that is good. My companions name is Elder Valenza and he is very good trainer.

Hey everyone!
Ok, so I have finished another week here in Alabama. It was a pretty good week.
We just taught Frank again yesterday and he is very excited about everything and ready to change his life. He wants to stop smoking right now, so we are going to talk about word of wisdom and stuff tomorrow. He is really excited because we told him about the stop smoking program that we have and how well it works. We are going to start him on that tomorrow. He is so excited to quit smoking. So I really think that this will work. They have this great program that they teach the missionaries that can get people to stop wanting cigarettes in only 7 days and it really works. We started someone on it 4 or 5 days ago and he is going strong, and the woman that got baptized this Saturday went through it too and it worked. You have to use this cinnamon mouthwash and toothpaste, and all these kind of weird things but it all has reasoning behind it and it works. The woman that just got baptized (Ann) actually referred people to the missionaries just because they wanted to stop smoking like she did. So it is cool. [Frank] loved church on Sunday and it was the primary program, and he wants to bring his kids now. We are very excited for him. He is still on for the 20th but we even talked about doing it on the 13th, he is so ready I think. (his kids might get baptized on the 20th too, in which case he would want to wait. He has an 8 yr old and a 11yr old.)
